The novelist Tracy Chevalier has curated an exhibition showcasing the history of quilt making at the beautiful Georgian villa, Danson House, in Kent. Each room in the exhibition explores activities that go on behind bedroom doors: Birth, Sleep, Sex, Illness and Death. Historical and contemporary quilts are displayed in each of the rooms. The exhibition is on until October, but I’m hoping to go as a holiday treat over half-term. – Miranda
