Living Room at Monk’s House

It’s been a week since Rachel and I (plus my Mum!) were driving about the countryside, on the hunt for links to Eric Ravilious and the Bloomsbury Group. Much as I loved Charleston, I was also utterly charmed by Monk’s House, the home of Leonard and Virginia Woolf. The house had a wonderful atmosphere and was filled with beautiful paintings and ceramics (and, happily, we were allowed to take pictures). I was especially taken with the lovely shade of green Virginia used to paint the walls. If ever I get my own place, I would like my living room to be Monk’s House Green. – Miranda
